APCTP has a well-established network of theoretical physics communities within the Asia-Pacific region, and we have been making substantial contributions to the promotion of physics in the region, not limited to theoretical physics.
Nevertheless, due to the rapid growth in the number of students and researchers in the Asia-Pacific region, it has become desirable to fine tune our networking efforts so that we are able to better provide more topical and timely opportunities to researchers in the region particularly in developing countries.
Specifically, we decided to implement the following three programs in the APCTP global cooperation activity.
- Two discipline-based networks (CMSP + HECAP) and an Individual Cooperation Group (ICG)
- Student Internship Program
- Visiting Scientist Program
